We have an announcement to make. 📢
As we approach the end of the project (and by extension, our PhD contracts), we're slowing down our social media presence. 👋
Most of our DCs now are sprinting towards the finish line and we would like them to focus on that goal. 🎯
Are we born with metabolic advantages that fade over time?
Liu et al., 2025 (Aging Cell) show that human umbilical cord plasma contains metabolites linked to healthy aging.
211 candidates identified.
Several decline with age.
Some extend lifespan in C. elegans.

Can one drop of blood track exercise metabolism?🤔
A 2025 Metabolomics study suggests dried blood spots🩸 can reflect key exercise-driven shifts in glycolysis, lipid use, mitochondrial pathways, and purine metabolism, using simple self-sampling.

An appreciation post to the women of the HUMAN consortium. 🎉
Nine out of 12 of our DCs are women from all over the world, and they are mentored and supported by brilliant women across the network!
Cheers to all the women and girls in STEM!🥂
