What a slow piece of film-making. I started watching as I was curious to see how someone had misrepresented you but I lost the will to live after 40 minutes. Whatever she was trying to say she needs an editor. The message from what I watched seemed to be 'everything is hopeless' - so not one for me.

Millions of tonnes of toxic sewage sludge spread on UK farmland every year Exclusive: Experts call for stricter regulation as current rules set in 1989 require testing for only a few heavy metals

At @fightingdirty.bsky.social, we sued over this issue, and lost on the grounds that the Environment Agency couldn't be in breach because the government had issued no direction. An absurdity, which means that poisons continue to be spread on farmland every day. 🧵

As an atheist I'm delighted that the new Pope favours the continuity of Francis. I'm gladdened that his will represent real Christianity and stand up for the poor, the oppressed and our planet. May he be blessed by his God. He'll need it.

Thank you Karin. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I think it’s the only book about the environment that is I hope both radical and has humour. :-) x

A view of Earth rising above the Moon's horizon, taken from space. The Moon's barren, gray surface stretches across the lower portion of the image, while Earth appears as a small, vibrant blue-and-white sphere against the vast blackness of space.

Earth Day is a reminder that we only have one planet. Sometimes, it takes seeing Earth from space to truly grasp how precious it is. 🧵⬇️ (1/4)
