Dan eating a full English at a table set up at the side of the egg road as runners go past.
Dan eating breakfast as runners go past. A mug of tea and a chaffing dish on the table.
How I do the Lincoln 10k.
RAF Hospital Rauceby. There was a NYDN centre there. The consultant neurologist Squadron Leader Eric Jewesbury's report 'Work and Problems of an R.A.F. Neuropsychiatric Centre’ is held at Kew and is an incredible source about the treatment of personnel.
I was at a wedding do in the chapel.
A derelict Victorian building with boarded up windows, holes in the roof and overgrown with vegetation.
Guess where I was yesterday.

A researcher from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum has been in touch about our copies of the 'Luftpost' propaganda leaflets. Apparently the IBCC Digital Archive holds the most complete collection their researchers have found. We've got a handful more waiting to be published too!
Wizard stuff on the memory of RAF Bomber Command on @ww2tv.bsky.social this evening. Lots that is relevant to what's going on in the world today too.

Dan waving at the top of Winn Hill in the Peak District. A small back pack and a sarnie in tinfoil next to him.
I went for a walk with some friends this morning.
A hexagonal wooden hut, the window in the door is a clock. There's a bird box on the outside.
The outside...
Good plan - it will do!
Dan in an old green leather chair in a small wooden shed. He's prodding the fire in a rocket stove made from an old gas bottle with a bit of wood. A kettle is on top of the stove.
I tidied up the 'Hagrid Hut' yesterday, lit the stove and made a brew. I wrote most of my PhD in there.
Dan at the IBCC. Spire behind him. He has long hair.
Guess where I am...
My office is in 'the quiet room' only my desk is facing the other way...
Floor plan of the archive space. Almost half is the archive store, with four offices (one is now a digitisation room), and a reception area/viewing room.
The IBCC Digital Archive moved into the Alfred Tennyson Building on the University of Lincoln's main campus last year. #Archive30 #ArchiveBuildings Our space looks something like this...
Sign on the wall 'IBCC Digital Archive The Archive of the Bombing War'
An archive trolley with a box on in front of archival roller shelving. We have physical holdings too.
The IBCC Digital Archive is housed by the University of Lincoln. Our ethos is to promote recognition, remembrance, and reconciliation. Content includes eyewitness interviews, personal papers and memorabilia not been seen in the public domain before.

30/31 March is the anniversary of the Nuremberg raid. I wrote a blog a couple of years ago about the cultural memory of that night in 1944, when 95 aircraft were lost, and 545 airmen were killed. #WW2 #OTD #History
Bomber crew morale by Peter Croft, Britain's X-traordinary files by David Clarke, and Conan Doyle's Horror of the Heights.
This week's haul for reading. All down to recommendations.
