I suspect it's pollution. I have seen it many times even during the rainy season but not at this level of turbidity.
It looked clean during our visit. But Ankobra was still muddy.
We rounded up fieldwork for 2025 with #BIOCOMP forest inventory at our Ankasa field site in Ghana. Of course, we didn't leave without a splash in River Ankasa and a spontaneous stop at the beach. 😀🌴
