This week, Unite member John Doolan gives us pause for thought, 'Just as union-negotiated agreements are harder to ignore than individual complaints, legislation built on broad democratic backing is harder to unravel.” #TimeForPR #heartunionsweek

In pretty Worcester for work.
Sometimes it’s hard to get up for parkrun (ask no questions and I’ll tell you no lies) but you always feel fantastic and full of energy afterwards #loveparkrun
A lovely parkrun with a super-friendly and encouraging team. I was pleased to get 30:20 and Steve came in ahead of me at 29:06. Fabulous big breakfast in the cafe afterwards.
Run and a Bun - well-deserved after a hot 6.5k

Good morning from sunny Brighton! We're here at
@gmb.org.uk Congress all week, please drop by and say hi. #GMB25
I somehow managed to buy matching shoes and clipboard today. Who knows when such a level of coordination might be needed?! The shoes are vegan, I’m not sure about the clipboard.

A lovely afternoon walking over the Downs yesterday
It was a damp and windy one today. Steve came in at 28:07 with me not too far behind at 28:50. Windy weather slowed us down a little heading west but made for an invigorating run. Treated ourselves to a good old-fashioned breakfast at Belchers afterwards. #loveparkrun
Thank you @pollytoynbee.bsky.social for raising the profile of what's happening to Wellsbourne GP practice in Whitehawk, #Brighton. Please share!

And today I somehow motivated myself to get up ridiculously early and do it all in reverse, which meant running up the hill from the dry dock at the Marina - that was hard!!!
I'm going to the beach clean on Sunday, May 25th, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. It starts on the beach behind Sea Lanes, with all the gear you need to get stuck in and @southdownsleisure and @sealanesbtn are treating all volunteers to a complimentary ice cream cone. Join me!
Went out determined to run 7k and ran just over 8k - beautiful day for a run by the sea - I think it inspired me! Gorgeous smell of honeysuckle on the cliff top above the Marina.

The new @theguardian.com format is a nightmare to navigate on a phone. Hate it! The previous digital version was much more user-friendly. Himself is very upset - his android tablet doesn't support the new format so he no longer has a paper to read.
