Alert alert! Alert alert! I think I got Cap's species wrong. I thought he was the same as my patio birds, just a mature vs juvenile thing, but I think Cap is actually a #HoodedCrow!
At first I was worried because he kept doing it even after I threw out his almonds and I thought maybe it was stuck in his beak. But as I began to walk away, he dropped it and went to get his snack. I think he was clicking it around to make sure I knew he had it and could see him drop it for me.
This is in honor of the first ever gift they've given me: a little plastic cap. He appeared out of nowhere on our walk today with this treasure in his mouth, rotating it in his beak to make a repeating click-clack noise.
