I don't think so. We'd much rather live the way we live instead of questioning every waking moment "just in case". It's much healthier to take moments as they come as opposed to trying to pick apart what we're allowed to feel and what might "just" be psychosis. It literally does not matter.

It's just another brand of ableism but even in our own communities we see psychotic folk held under magnifying glasses and "are you sure it's not just the schizoaffective?". Would it really even MATTER if it was? Would that change anything about the experience if we feel it the same anyway?

It's definitely something to have a psychotic disorder + have other identity stuff going on. We're schizoaffective, that doesn't mean we can't be plural, queer, trans or alterhuman. Why are our experiences held under more scrutiny just because we're disabled? ANYONE can be those other things.

Dragonkin here. We'd love to try vrchat to ease some of that dysphoria--when we can get a nice model lol.

Though even if there was power there, you wouldn't need to act different imo? Might be remembering wrong but I think a few years back some folks were arguing that popular alterhumans need to act different because of their "power" and that's kinda silly to expect of people.

Unfortunately I think popularity of any form likes to come with *some* form of social leverage but at the same time it *doesn't* mean you've really got unique power compared to anyone else. If anything being popular here just seems to mean more people see your stuff.

I know we're also in some of the other spaces you frequent, buuut, commenting anyway. I think from our perspective, the respect folks have for you and your work could translate into other people *feeling* like you hold power like that? As far as we can tell.
