It may come to no surprise that #SuperMarioGalaxy has rocketed to the top of the charts, banking £15 MILLION in its opening weekend. The film sat £0.69m below what the first film achieved back in 2023.

Although narratively simplistic and wildly overstuffed, the second outing for the Super Mario franchise is a bombastic feast for the senses. Our step into the galaxy is a visual triumph and wonderfully entertaining despite breaking no new ground.
