I'm loving fisherman's rib lately. It's so gorgeously squishy. So I'd choose that.

Strangely reassuring that even a cable expert like you does this too😊
Today was perfect for a visit to @bluebellwalk.bsky.social Had a lovely short stroll through the woodland anemones and first bluebells.
It’s nearly time for our national diary day! Every 12th May we ask people to write down what they got up to. This year we’re also really interested in experiences of nature and wellbeing, as well as what else you get up to on the day! #diary #journal #nature #skystorians #write #Archive
Yet I see TV ads recommending it for business purposes. Something for advertising standards?
That was when I rediscovered knitting and haven't stopped since. Not much of a silver lining from a horrible time but it's something.
Baby blanket in honeycomb stitch with cream background and cells in brown, gold, green, blue, lilac and silver.
Navy and grey hat with stripes and simple fairisle-ish motifs
This week #ShowMeYourKnits this week is colour work which I rarely do. I did some nice things about 40 years ago but no photos ☹️ Most of the colour in my knits is stripes or self patterning yarn 🧶 I've done a lot of honeycomb blankets and last year I did one patterned hat.
That's one I've not heard of. We have a similar white 'bluebell' in our garden so I'll give it a sniff 😊

Baby teabag hat in lime green
I didn't think I had much in green for this week's #ShowMeYourKnits but I found these. A baby blanket for a mum who asked for green, a peacock feather shawl in oddments, a greenish vest and a baby hat. Details in ALT 🧶
Sometimes it just has to be done. Quite agree with #GottaLoveWhatYouMake 😊

This week for #ShowMeYourKnits it's 'What’s on Your Needles; what are you excited about?' I'm currently knitting a 'sampler' sweater and a leftovers cardigan. Looking forward to visiting my favourite wool shop soon to buy 🧶 for my next project.

You might see the below image going around being circulated regarding the Union St fire in Glasgow.
It's AI slop. pure AI slop. Relatively convincing if you don't know the place, but 100% Fake.
Don't share it - debunk it.

Multicoloured striped knitting in fisherman's rib
It was so warm today I'm going to put my squishy cardigan WIP on hold to focus on a cotton blend summer sweater 🧶#Knitsky
Two swatches of knitting with lots of different stitches in a sampler
Multicoloured Swatch using slipped stitches.
I've been knitting some practice swatches for the two sweaters I'm going to knit soon.🧶 Looking forward to getting started but have a few WIPs to finish first #Knitsky
I used that yarn (maybe even that colour) for a cowl. This was how the stripes knitted up in a basically moss stitch over 144sts if that helps.

Lovely texture. Can you remember what pattern it was?
William Blake’s illustration for “The Tyger” has what appears to be a dippy grin for some reason.
The wonderful thing about Tyggers
Is Tyggers are burning bright
Their tops are made out of rubber
In the forest of the night
What bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,
Immortal hand or eye
Did frame the most wonderful thing about Tyggers,
Their fearful symmetry!
Over on threads someone just use ai;dr and we all need to adopt that right quick
It depends what you use it for. Maybe Flipboard would work?
