Spotted a Platycheirus albimanus female and Episyrphus balteatus male, both on ivy in a sheltered sunny part of Butts Meadow, near Eastbourne. Three butterfly species as well, including Clouded yellow!

Plenty of Bee-flies recently in East Sussex. Yesterday, (not great photos, but you can see the wing spots), I saw my first Dotted bee-fly at Lullington Heath. Today, a better photo of a Dark-edged bee-fly. These were in abundance in Abbots Wood.
