it is SO wonderful! i wish i had started sooner!

a few months ago i had the idea to cross stitch this plastic sheet, and make some homemade magnets. this was my first go at it, and it’s not bad! in my mind i’m envisioning cross stitched alphabet letters for when my baby becomes a toddler 🤍

my most wonderful favorite pair of ruffle shorties 🌞

OK! these were SUCH a win for me. i could really feel my skills growing into ~confident beginner~ which, wow, what a thrill. these were my first shorts, first ruffles, first pattern i made that i felt SURE i wouldn’t be able to find in a store! wow!!

knitting is, unfortunately, Not a natural talent for me.

i’ve been trying so hard to knit a basic mini scarf, but all i’ve been successful at so far is this tiny rectangle. luckily it has been put to use in my daughter’s mouse house (I’ve been told mice get chilly too 🐭)

this project was a DREAM COME TRUE i tell you what! i feel so beautiful in my little skirt. sewing really does leave me with such profound emotions. a deep feeling of connection, of appreciation for garments, and such pride in my own abilities so far. ps i shared a longer video for this make on YT!
