It would be enough to make the mildest of person grumpy at best.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

One of my favorite Douglas Adams quotes:
“All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others.”
More timely today than ever, don't you think? 💙

A green bottle sawfly on a white flower. It has red eyes and an iridescent green body. It may be common and often an irritant but it’s still amazing to look at.

Oedemera nobilis, also known as the false oil beetle, thick-legged flower beetle or swollen-thighed beetle. A green beetle on a flower, its rear legs are unusual as they have very prominent bulges, as if it had body builder-level musculature. A second, unknown beetle is also on the flower but not in focus.

I think I am correct in saying Erwin Rommel suffered from this and it took him away from the front line, at least for a while, so a small silver lining….
The old adage of not learning the lessons of history seems relevant.
