a dark and introspective self portrait lit with a single light, i tinted my irises blue while playing around in Photoshop to make them stand out better and add an exotic element after reading about the demise of Pluto from planet status to planetesimal

Dinosaurs are so cool. 🥰
This is great. It’s like a window within a window.
I tend to agree. Not double exposures outright, but double exposures used to create something deceptively. In other words, I’m okay with using double exposures to create art, but it should be obvious and shouldn’t try to be something it isn’t.

It comes down to personal values. Some (not me) would say the slightest touchup makes a photo “fake.”
I agree, but I looked up the photographer and he has other shots with the same tree. I think he’s just heavy-handed with photoshop and HDR.
I considered that, but every little twig seems to be visible, and these leaves are presumably throughout the entire tree. Foliage doesn’t typically become invisible in front of the sun.
I’m keeping my mind open, but my guard is definitely up.
