An early 19th century Neo-Classicist building with a medieval tower. It later underwent a Neo-Gothic makeover. The exterior really doesn't prepare you for the interior.

Have a little detail shot of the "chapel" (gardener's cottage) of Oud Poelgeest castle, the Netherlands.

Apparently most of the walls were still standing. That will have helped the rebuilding effort. But we are lucky that the voices calling for its demolition after the war were ignored.
