Home alone after a round of golf with my dad and brother. I’m sitting out under the carport on this #CDFriday sipping a drink and listening to the sweet sounds of @instagon.bsky.social

#CDFriday Freshly reissued by @thirdmanrecords.bsky.social after being out of print for a while. The story of Connie Converse is part mystery, part tragedy, and part rediscovered. A fantastic collection of songs that was almost lost forever.
The Transmission No. 3 package on the floor in front of a cd player that just started playing. This is no jewel case. It's a large black cardboard jewelry box, decked out with vintage-looking stamps. Inside is a black and white zine of cut-ups. Not visible are a bonus cassette and a flyer under the lid.
#CDFriday this beautiful package from @bhtransmissions.bsky.social

Closing out my #CDFriday with a classic.
This episode of Zipper's 80's extravaganza is full of talk. :-)

#CDFriday just Laurel things. Grief-buying when I realized I didn’t have a copy
Four CDs lie on a brown leather car seat
This week’s commute tunes. Bottom right is Peter Gabriel’s Long Walk Home.

Cross That Line by Howard Jones on CD
#CDFriday with Cross That Line by Howard Jones. Really enjoy this album and its singles so it’s unfortunate it wasn’t super successful at release in the UK compared to his earlier 80s albums. Some great Chris Hughes production on the first two tracks too.
this sounds like you imagine it sounds.

Revisiting this beautiful record to soundtrack my reading of Allan Brown's excellent Nileism, a biography of The Blue Nile.

Another big new release! #CDFriday
Melanie Martinez - Hades
I'm grateful to learn about new music I love from the community here on #BlueSky (the latest being #BrigitteCallsMeBaby). But my contribution to #CDFriday this week focuses on artists I unfortunately only learned to appreciate after they were no longer a going concern.

Packaging of The Farewell Bend's 'In Passing' (Slowdime, 1998) compact disc.
Good morning, #CDFriday! Last week, I listened through the catalogue of American indie supergroup Canyon, but this week, I'm spinning one of the roads that led there: The Farewell Bend's 'In Passing' (Slowdime, 1998), which is definitely a lot more of what you might expect from a Boys Life alumnus.
Bonus #CDFriday since goodies from @slumberlandrecords.com just arrived in the post!
Creature of Habit by Courtney Barnett on a Tell Me How You Really Feel tote
New Courtney Barnett Day! #cdfriday
