Tree in spring time morning sun.
Tree in pink blossom.
Short papers on evil and suffering, sanctification, mission, Augustine, and animals have helpfully explored the conference theme. Whilst delegates have explored flesh and blood theologies, the springtime blossoms around the Warwick campus have just quietly been doing their thing.
A full and inspirational day so far at #SST25 #SST2025 - Margaret. kamitsuka’s plenary paper on deferred desire, skilfully integrating John 20, Song of Songs, and artistic portrayal of Mary meeting the Risen Jesus left much to ponder on.

Fab first day at #SST2025 with a paper on the Eucharist and trauma by David Grumett and a brilliant response from my wonderful PhD student @revdwillrm.bsky.social
More flesh and blood theologies tomorrow…
We’re about to go live for #SST25. Some excellent papers and some great speakers lined up.
Dulwich Hamlet vs Dartford at the Champion Hill stadium.
A disappointing result at the Champion Hill stadium where the difference in quality between 1st place Dartford and 18th place @dulwichhamletfc.bsky.social was just too great. Always a good afternoon either way.

Everyone’s favourite tree, in evening light.

Trees in blossom, at home and away.
First time worshipping at our ‘home’ church since Christmas, after a series of opportunities to lead and preach with Lynley in various other places. All a privilege, as it was to enjoy the freedom to gather in worship today. Mindful of those who do not enjoy such freedoms.
I think it was, ‘Keep that dog away from me.’
Greeted by this chap on my walk this morning.
I appreciate the compassion and the challenge of this response
If you want an antidote to Christian nationalism, the sermon from today’s BBC Sunday Worship (Radio 4) for the Feast of Christ the King is spot on.
Pretty miserable afternoon, both weather and performance, at Champion Hill, but always good to support our local team regardless. @dulwichhamletfc.bsky.social
They don’t seem to have a budget for clearing the streets of snow in Exeter. You’d think there’d be some sort of… slush fund.
Hi friends, as we are new to this platform, we need to rebuild our network from the other place. Could y'all help us out a bit? A little bit of crowd sourcing can go a long way! Do share our profile with those in your networks who you think might be interested the Divine work we do here in Aberdeen!
In today’s theology news, a very worthwhile time with NTC colleagues talking about how to engage with the work of lapsed/disgraced theologians. No easy answers, but a rich conversation.
Also known as an inane post as I attempt to build some connections on this new (to me) social thingummy.
It’s only Wednesday and already a week of cultural extremes: Zadie Smith on Monday at St Martin in the Fields; band practice at Bromley Salvation Army on Tuesday; Paddington at Dulwich Picture House this evening.

Another bewildered X refugee, hoping this lives up to the hype.
