The bowling innings of SRH is exactly why I enjoy watching T20 cricket 🏏. When it began, at 0-0, I was writing a paragraph; 10mins later, still writing but the team at the top of the table has lost 5 wickets; 3 in the 1st over for the first time ever in the IPL, to debutant Praful Hinge #SRHvsRR

ARTEMIS II CREW: Using a *Nikon D5* (!!!) to take photos of a PLANET.. 🌏 OUR planet, AND the moon 🌕(!!) from, lemme get this right, S-p-a-c-e?!
Does anyone else feel spoiled AF right now by Science?
The Artemis II crew’s photos of Earth are SO RIDICULOUSLY MESMERIZING; I have not been able to look away for hours! If you want to feel awe and wonder to momentarily escape current events, there is nothing better to bring peace to your mind & maybe a tear or two 🥹. www.nasa.gov/gallery/jour... 🌏
If all goes according to plan, in a few hours, a crew of astronauts will begin a journey that will take them on a loop around the moon. Here's a video that NASA put together to help people visualize the journey through space, first orbiting the earth before looping around the moon and flying home 🔭
Absolute chills hearing the astronauts on the #ArtemisII each saying what they are ‘a go’ for. What an incredible feat of science and human ambition is unfolding literally at this moment! #science #NASA 😱 May the force be with you, Artemis crew!! 🙏🏽 🌖
Reddit wouldn’t allow me to post a comment on a sub because it thought I was AI. 😅 God forbid a human uses the correct grammar and punctuation they spent years learning.
To those responsible for this — my 8th & 10th grade English teachers would like to see you. 🫣 You’ve been warned; they’re scary.
What sort of conversation in the editorial team led to the decision to green light this graphic?
Jeff Bezos’s wealth has increased an average of $70 million every day of 2026, meaning that he could have offset The Post’s losses with what he’s made since Monday.
Quick reminder for folks presenting at @ametsoc.org #ams2026: Not everyone in your audience is going to have masterful command over all the acronyms. Your amazing work, when interspersed with too many acronyms or frequent jargon, risks hindering your audience’s comprehension & retention. #scicomm
Thursday at @ametsoc.org #ams2026: Invaluable info on improving disaster / hazard forecasting & risk communication by operationalizing social, behavioral, and decision sciences research, i.e., turning scientific data into impactful, actionable, and realistic decision support solutions = My 👏🏽 JAM! 👏🏽😃
Under-rated, incredibly important sessions at the @ametsoc.org conference on: 1. Leveraging UX research, design thinking, social & behavioral science for more impactful decision support services; & 2. Better serving & preparing rural & hazard-prone communities to respond to disaster events. #ams2026
NGL, I hadn’t anticipated having $30 extra every month because I’d no longer need to pay for Paramount+, Disney+, and Hulu, but I’m kinda glad to have extra time to read & garden! Am I super bummed to miss out on the new season of Only Murders in the Building? Absolutely. 🙁 But… 😐🤷🏻♀️⛓️💥

Showed this to my dog because she is 100% that friend who’s always ready to roll, no questions asked. 😇
Just watched a kid in Minneapolis, with no political leanings, innocently say on the news, “We practice for these, but I never thought it would actually happen.” It baffles me that kids have to *practice* running active shooter drills at *school* & now church like it’s normal. Let that sink in. 💔
Just breaking my self-imposed digital silence to prophesize that the @colbertlateshow.bsky.social writing is likely going to be epically gloves-off 🔥 in its final months. A laughably bad decision; all but ensures 🙏🏽🤞🏽 that Stephen’s next gig will be even more iconic & the 💰won’t be going to CBS! ⏳

Dear @thedailyshow.com - My husband, the engineer and math whiz who was thrilled by the light saber—Sith Lord connection, would like me to bring to your attention this fixed version of the chart that Jon used on tonight’s episode. 🫣 Yes, I am acutely aware of the nerdiness quotient here. 😎 🙏🏽
Logged in to email & saw that @ametsoc.org & @agu.org are, once again, leading by example with a joint statement to co-produce a novel 💡OPEN ACCESS💡 collection of climate change research after the the US National Climate Assessment’s staff & authors were dismissed. 🥲 www.ametsoc.org/ams/about-am...
Text from a friend today: “How’re you doing?”
My response: “Well, I just started following an account called Daily Bunnies to get a dose of fluffy bunny content everyday on BlueSky, so you tell me how you think it’s going…” 😶
This is not* an (unintentional) plug for @dailybunnies.bsky.social 🫠
Ok I didn’t know I needed this until I saw it. Oh the delusional bliss of imagining life as this baby bear trying to catch snowflakes!! 🥹
‘Environmental health’ IS public health. The NIH-cuts-induced unavailability of crucial peer-reviewed research is likely to have far reaching impacts; not just on policy, decision-making, science communication, & public awareness, but also on public health & safety.📣

🌱 Spring harvests have slowly begun and this pastel + contrast palette has me in love 😍 Sweet peas, Stock, Snapdragons, Ranunculus, Roses, and Dianthus make for a stunning combination. 🤩 #GardeningInZone9b
I love survey design but when the GAD-7 questionnaire asks how often in the last 2 weeks, I’ve felt a) nervous, anxious or on edge; b) like I couldn’t stop worrying’, & no response option can reliably measure the frantic screaming in my head, a ‘Nearly every breathing moment’ option may be needed. 😣
So many variables, so much information, so many stories but so little time & such small windows for attention and audience retention… it’s a tough ecosystem for sure. There are very interesting studies in journalism, communication & social psychology research, if you’re interested, btw.

Today’s daily reminder: It’s great to have a moral code & perhaps even aspire to be an idealist but, if, despite repeated proof that they have no track record of telling the truth, you’re still “surprised”, “shocked” or “appalled” that someone lied- again -you may be confusing reality with Utopia.🤷🏻♀️
