All the "you"'s in my story. literally i think i just need to name my main character at this point rather than just keep her as "You". I get that i was trying to make her more relatable to the reader by BEING the reader but idk if it's working at this point lol

I'm sure a lot of writers/authors AREN'T like this, and would love to make money off of their writing, which is 100% valid. I am not trying to say that we as writers and authors SHOULDN'T be making money off our work if we want to. I'm just saying that I personally just want to put my work (2/?)

I feel like I'm very much in the minority when it comes to this, but when I AM ready to publish TPonH, I want it to be free for all to read. I don't want to make a single cent off it. In fact, I want ALL my books to be that way, no matter how many books I publish. (1/?)

Morning came with the expected bright red sea sunlight through the windows, making the round living room gleam like the inside of an industrial smelter oven. Vela rolled over in bed and savored the sun a little. It would stay sunny till noon if the low pressure cell stays stable through the morning blaze. She finally hurdled herself up, stretched and begann to dress. Padded pants and a red top for the bike ride later. The ledger displayed the approximate position and slowly plotted a path best suited for the bike on the sand-colored faux-paper map. Vela eyed the dotted line while gnawing on a protein bar she had (re-)discovered on the table. A small warning sign popped up - (!) Rough terrain. Remember to wear a kinetic barrier - "Yea yea" Vela mumbled, closed the tome and slipped it into a clunky backpack. The bike stood propped up in the small plasticrete cellar below, one wall to the slope was exposed with a rolling gate, and the embedded AI core and powersupply in the opposite wall. Vela grabbed the kinetic barrier from it's mount on the core, a small round white handsized device, and wedged it between her back and pack. She started the bike and its hybrid engine hummed to life. The gate opened and she drove out into the flood of orange light over whisping seafog.

I thought this project was going to be a small chapbook style poetry book. I thought that it would be done BEFORE Halloween. (and by done i mean written, edited, published, EVERYTHING!) I thought it'd be 20 pages at the most.
