This is my sample batt for a sweater spin. I like your idea of doing a little of each. I have plenty of wool to make more batts. I’m trying to avoid the final yarn being too “busy”.

I need some advise…Should I 2 ply (center-pull ball) this bobbin of tweedy rainbow singles or blend up a plain grey batt and ply it with a no tweed single? 🧶🤔

Just watched a video on solar dyeing. No chance of that during a Montana winter. But I had leftover dye and decided to try gas stove dyeing with sari silk. At the least, it’s pretty 🧶.

7 skeins of Cormo fleece,hand processed and spun into yarn. Unwashed white yarn spread out on a blanket of fresh snow.

Washed and dried skeins of white hand processed and spun Cormo yarn laying in fresh snow. The yarn has bloomed after its bath in hot water and wool soap.

What a difference a hot bath can do!
Grover the Cormo lamb’s fleece is complete and it’s amazing.

Green and speckled blue handspun yarn being knit into a Gib sweater by Drea Renee Knits aka Andrea Mowry. Sleeves are being picked up and knit with alternating balls of yarn.

Picked up the sleeves this morning on my Gib sweater by @dreareneeknits.bsky.social. I’m using yarn I processed from a CVM/Rambouillet/Merino fleece, spun and hand-dyed. I’m alternating balls of yarn as I knit to prevent pooling and to mask the difference in yarn thickness.
