- Equipping our #SalfordUniOT graduates with entrepreneurship and leadership skills is key
- We need to encourage and support students to make global networks whilst studying
Great day at #WFOT2026 yesterday, listened to some inspiring talks, made connections with international (and UK!) occupational therapists and shared work on practice education enablers and barriers and queering the curriculum

Listening to the AI symposium at #WFOT2026
Karen Jacobs (session chair) says the question not how AI will touch our profession but how we as OTs engage with it.
AI WILL be used in OT and reflect priorities, assumptions and blind spots of those who engage with it, therefore OTs need to engage
Interesting thoughts from Elspeth Froude at #WFOT2026 - goal setting should come before assessment in OT process so that assessment and evaluation focus on occupational participation
Also a scary stat -research takes 17 yrs to get into practice-how can we as OT's support knowledge translation?
Kylie Shae from the world health organisation #WFOT2026 tells us 2.5 billion people currently need adaptive equipment or assistive tech yet only 1 billion currently have it. Occupational therapists key to bridging that gap worldwide.

Teaching day with Level 5 (2nd year) BSc students today, task was to research the social determinents of health relevant to areas in our online simulated neighbourhood and make a game to teach others about the impacts on health
