Old timey not stop watch. Numbers handwritten and out of order.
Any ideas what this is? When wound it spins round with a sort of clacking noise.

I’d better get on and write my PPT then! 😂
Ofqual would need four meetings and a public consultation before getting out of the way of a moving train tbh www.tes.com/magazine/new...
GCSE Statistics teachers
How many lessons per week do you have and do you cover the course over 1 or 2 years?
Thank you!
Yeah loads and I don’t care about the order.
Added benefit is that their latest assessments fit in there too
Book covers and the sheets slide in the cover thingy at the start or end of the book.
Like these but not this specific brand

Maths teachers- can I ask how much curriculum time per week do your Y10 and Y11 classes get?
Thank you!
You're starting from scratch with 5 yr SOW, rolling out one year at a time, starting with yr 7. How do you approach this to maximise chances for success? @jemmaths.bsky.social @mathsjem.bsky.social @justmaths.bsky.social @arithmaticks.bsky.social @studymaths.bsky.social @krisboulton.bsky.social
It was done … the twin pair pilot. Was scrapped with the 9-1 GCSE … interestingly Wales have just moved from this model.
I did a trial of an on screen assessment thing a couple of years ago ... firewalls, wifi etc etc .. was a nightmare. It'll happen .. just not in my teaching lifetime.
We had the prime thing in the last reform ... the twin pair pilot.
Interestingly Wales have just moved from a 2 qual model
Interesting view. What would you change if starting again?
Don’t think there’s an appetite for radical changes … evolution not revolution.
Agree to all of this 👍
We actually had this with the Twin Pair Pilot just before the last reform. A missed opportunity
Fascinating point of view. I’ve always wondered if I’ve missed out on adventure

What would you remove from the current Maths GCSE?
Anything you’d add?

Key vocab! How do you deal with? We have a 'unit vocabulary' sheet that students glue into books and fill in as we go- feels clunky. As a school, we 'drill' vocab every lesson (choral response). This hasn't got 100% buy in yet @justmaths.bsky.social @resourceaholic.bsky.social @jemmaths.bsky.social
one for @justmaths.bsky.social ?
An excerpt of a spreadsheet containing #ALevelMaths data from the June 2025 Edexcel papers for #Mathsconf39
Inspired from the "Moving em up" workshop where
@justmaths.bsky.social shared on GCSE, I'll be attempting to do this for A Level. Lots of discussion promised!

Without the crossover they won’t get the higher grades so BOTH books would be what I’d recommend.
When your year 11 daughter asks for a revision guide to make sure she’s got the basics, where else are you going to look?! @justmaths.bsky.social
I love this!!
The Maths emporium will have something like this
Have you tried varifocal lenses?
Unless it needed resetting over the summer and NOTHING works 😂
