Oh... but actually # is an unambiguous sigial for the Hash token! So #00f _would_ compress better because for e.g. `1px solid#00f` (no space) is valid whereas `1px solidblue` is obviously not... except csso and lightningcss don't elide that space... curious.
Just glanced at @scope 0002 and it seems some tools have minified blue to #00f - and that’s causing failures. Perhaps the test is incorrect in this case? Or is there meaningful difference between blue and #00f ?
Meme showing a person (former Spanish coach Vicente del Bosque) with a funny face expression (closed eyes, mouth sayin "oof!"), and the text #0000000F
What does CSS say when it's uncomfortable?
#00F
...and when it's really uncomfortable?
turns out you can even use #00F
trainer tips: you can use your phone to check if some materials are fluorescent by pointing your screen displaying a fullscreen pure blue (#00F) image at it at full brightness. it won't work for fluorescent blues since they'll just look blue anyway but it will for any other color
i love when folks create websites in surprising & new ways; new layouts & animations & interactions! i also love when folks create websites in reliable, tried-and-true ways; #00f links and predictable (guessable?) URLs, tidy information architecture.
