The young woman has bright red cropped hair and is wearing a white t-shirt and a chequered skirt. I saw Rob's bird of the day and remembered I had this one from a morning walk last week. This is one of our local swans paddling around the lake, with muted red and brown reflections from the surrounding foliage and blue reflections from the sky.
When they're not trying to charge me, sometimes swans are actually the serene, calming presence that they're portrayed as in literature and myth.

Welcome to my world. These lovely misty, cloudy or foggy days are what I live for. The rugged coastline is softened by the clouds hugging the jagged outlines of the place I call home. I may also love it for the perverted reason that there are far fewer tourists falling off the cliffs or leaving their doggy bags (or worse) behind.
Our lovely moody coastline...

To quote @jeremyvoh.bsky.social
"The Oregon coast doesn't care what mood you're in. it'll be grey and ancient and indifferent either way. Just the way I like it."
May it ever be so...

A photo of a graffitied wall in the Northern Quarter Manchester today. A brightly coloured mural in red, blue, and white on a white painted wall. There are multiple flowers, crowns, eyes, hearts, skulls and abstract shapes outlined in black. The work by Pete Obsolete is inspired by 'St Anthony, an ode to Anthony H Wilson' By Mike Garry and takes inspiration from the vibrant city of Manchester and the Stone Roses self titled album artwork by John Squire.
