Met Office: the forecast for the Lake District on Friday has collapsed, and now shows rain all afternoon including some heavy outbursts. I’m staying at the Helvellyn Youth Hostel no matter what (cause it’s booked), but will have to cook up an inferior Plan B now.

Ok, when I said “Helvellyn on Friday”, it was shorthand for, “look at a storm-ridden Helvellyn on Friday from a much lower hill”. 😓 #WainwrightBagging #12DaysOfFreedom

WalkHighlands: my Munros map shows I haven’t climbed a single Munro in and around Glen Shiel yet (in fact, I haven’t climbed a single one of the 113 North-West of the Great Glen). But with some of the Friday and all of the Saturday to play with, I should reach a few, weather-permitting.
