Well yesterday was erm interesting.

Helvellyn cancelled due to weather. Hostel WiFi dead (weather). Had to climb 1/2 of Helvellyn to get one bar of “signal” with Three terror network to check my family’s flight arrived (it has).

At least I climbed 2 Wainwrights? Only 212 to go. #WainwrightBagging

Met Office: the forecast for the Lake District on Friday has collapsed, and now shows rain all afternoon including some heavy outbursts. I’m staying at the Helvellyn Youth Hostel no matter what (cause it’s booked), but will have to cook up an inferior Plan B now.

Ok, when I said “Helvellyn on Friday”, it was shorthand for, “look at a storm-ridden Helvellyn on Friday from a much lower hill”. 😓 #WainwrightBagging #12DaysOfFreedom
