Science & fun combo last week at the #17NYRA and #ETW2025, where I had the chance to present our work. Bittersweet feelings as #17NYRA was my last activity as a @youngandrology.bsky.social board member. I might be leaving, but NYRA will never leave me 💙 thank you for these 7 years of joy! 🫂🫶🏻
Now it’s the turn for Dr. Anne Jørgensen’s talk (Herlev and Gentofte Hospital), giving us molecular insights into the underlying mechanisms of sex-specific development of human fetal gonads. #17NYRA is full of an exciting diversity of topics!
The last day of #17NYRA started with the fascinating talk of Dr. Elizabeth Bromfield (Bio21 Institute, University of Melbourne) about the protein modifications as potential novel targets of male contraception! Lots of cool phosphoproteomics data to start the Sunday 🙌🏻
The scientific sessions of the first day finish with a very thought-provoking #debate about male contraception, sponsored by the #MCI. Amazing pro/cons arguments raised by young andrologists about current societal and scientific challenges! #17NYRA
The scientific speed dating was so fun! During our favourite NYRA flagship activity, attendees, board members, and speakers mixed to better know the research they develop 🧪🧬 A very fun way to find your next collaboration! #17NYRA
After the coffee break, the program continues with the presentation of Dr. Judit Castillo (@ub.edu) about the epigenetic information contained in the sperm chromatin. Super excited to learn about the career path and scientific work of a former NYRA board member! 🤩 #17NYRA
The ETW train has left the station 🚅
To all those joining the #17NYRA enjoy, and we hope to see you tomorrow for the #ETW2025
