After acclaimed Italian director Federico Fellini turned down Flash Gordon producer Dino de Laurentiis, he named Princess Aura’s leashed human pet in the film “Fellini”.
Prior to being cast in the movie, the actor who played Flash Gordon, Sam Jones, had a pictorial in Playgirl magazine. (And yeah, the photos are online)
