Not a weak song on the lp and the two lead singles are up there with the best tracks of the year. Seeing them live with my daughter makes the album just that bit more special 🙌🏻

7/7 How Lost comprises ethereal, whispered vocals, cinematic synths & chiming, celestial guitars over electronic and physical drums. Its transcendent music takes us into 2 different, yet darkly parallel, worlds.

Nada Surf - Moon Mirror
I’ve only known this band for a few months but have fallen deep, really deep !!
Hard to put my finger on it but their sound & lyrics just resonate with me.. Moon Mirror is incredible, I’ll be playing this for the rest of my life 💚🖤

Unclassifiable gem by the former (and sometimes current) mastermind behind The Microphones. An album that has to be heard in its entirety (plenty of less than 2 min songs). Perfection!

Given that this was released in January, it speaks volumes that it’s my no.2 11 months later! Whilst I love ALFAA, Wall of Eyes is more structured & flows so much better, it’s 8 pieces of art to totally lose yourself in 💙

The band that's my find of the year. Superb album from start to finish, great lyrics and fine musicianship. Seen them live twice also, they were great.

III by HOO
Everything works perfectly: the vocals, chiming guitars, especially OMG the soaring, pulsing, textured synths!! Less instant than ‘Never Speak’ but equally addictive.
