#Narelle ( #27P ) is currently bearing down on the western Pilbara and the NW Cape peninsula as a Category 4 severe TC. Some additional strengthening is possible before it moves inland near Cape Cuvier in WA on Fri PM. Perth area could see wind impacts similar to Seroja in 2021.
#Narelle ( #27P ) has reattained severe TC status as it quickly reintensifies off the Pilbara. It's forecast to peak at 105 kts before making landfall at Cape Cuvier. It should undergo extratropical transition after landfall, but a big portion of WA could see hazardous conditions.

#Narelle ( #27P, #34U) has crossed the Cape York Peninsula and is now over the Gulf of Carpentaria. It has weakened substantially and is now a Cat 2 (Australia) system with 55 kt winds.
Narelle is forecast to move across the Gulf and regain some strength before reaching the Top End early on Sunday.
