#OneHitHistory In a bit of a continuation of our #2HitTuesday, The Youngbloods, led by Jesse Colin Young, earned US #OneHitWonder honors in August of 1969 with "Get Together," which spent 12 weeks on the US #Billboard #Top40 and peaked at #5! #TheYoungbloods #OneHitWondered
#2HitTuesdays Did Dead or Alive have a 2nd #Top40 hit in America? It is #2HitTuesday… 1987’s “Brand New Lover” was a club staple in the US, peaking at #1 on Billboard’s Dance Club Play chart & #1 on their Singles Sales chart. DJs wore that 12-inch out… It peaked at #15 on the #Top40. #OneHitWondered
Starbuck? Yep, but for a #2HitTuesday entry. They had the monster hit "Moonlight Feels Right," which peaked at #3... but in 1977, they did have a 2nd #Billboard #Top40 hit with "Everybody Be Dancin'," which squeeked onto the #Top40, peaking at #38.
#2HitTuesdays A sideone on #2HitTuesday? In 1968, the Four Tops took their cover of "Walk Away Renee" to # 14 on the #Billboard #Top40. #FourTops #TheLeftBanke #OneHitWondered
Bit of a gray area on that 2nd hit... The “If You Remember Me" single was released under the name Chris Thompson (no mention of Night) but the track did appear on Night's album... I'm inclined to call 'em a 2Hit wonder... in fact, they were almost today's #2HitTuesday entry.
Here's my #2HitTuesday contribution this week:
10,000 Maniacs
#12 "Because The Night"
#25 "More Than This"
Interestingly they are both cover songs. And each one has a different vocalist.
On this #2HitTuesday, we have "Waiting For A Star To Fall" by Boy Meets Girl. The song first the Hot 100 in September 1988 and would peak at #5. It would be a #1 on the AC chart as well. @onehitwondered.bsky.social

@onehitwondered.bsky.social Would it be OK if I came up with a #2HitTuesday song next week? I'll be writing it in your style. Not trying to steal your schtick!
