What is something your character does to have fun?

Carla (the main character) plays video games. Kalcal fights hostile entities or flirts with Zenobos, maybe both at the same time. Glarence doesn’t do much for the sake of fun. Maybe talking to Adiel? Uri also doesn’t do much for fun. Maybe making out with one of his friends? Zenobos reads his cookbook and imagines what it’ll be like when he finally has all of the ingredients for a dish. Adiel talks to his friends and tries to make them laugh.

What was your character’s first romantic relationship like? If they haven’t had one, what would an ideal romance look like to them?

Carla (the main character) had her first romantic relationship as a teenager. It was awkward and short. She doesn’t link thinking about it because she cringes a lot. Kalcal hasn’t really had a romantic relationship yet. His ideal romance would be with someone who can match his energy. Glarence had his first romantic relationship with Deimos, who I’ve previously been referring to as [REDACTED]. He doesn’t like to talk about it. Uri hasn’t had a romantic relationship yet. He hasn’t really thought about what his ideal romance would be, because he doesn’t feel like he deserves something like that. Zenobos hasn’t had a romantic relationship yet. He caught feelings for one of the humans he traveled with long ago, and possibly has feelings for Kalcal. His ideal romance would be with someone he knows well, and has similar interests to him. Adiel hasn’t had a romantic relationship yet. He hasn’t really thought about what his ideal romance would be; he isn't sure if he wants one.

Carla (the main character)’s worst period was when her grandmother died. Kalcal’s worst period was when he was kicked out of the level he originates from. Glarence’s worst period was when he left [REDACTED]. Uri’s worst period was his time in the backrooms before he met Manorial. Zenobos’s worst period was when he met a human who slowly went insane and died. Adiel’s worst period was when he was alone in Level 0, back when he first woke up in the backrooms.

How does your character act when facing an important deadline?

Conflict often comes from misconceptions. What is a lie your character believes about themselves?

Carla (the main character) overprepares at the beginning, sorting everything out and getting the task done quickly so that she doesn’t end up not finishing it on time. Obviously, she’s always finished on time thanks to this method, but she’s too anxious to procrastinate. Kalcal is lackadaisical at first—there’s plenty of time, so why worry? But as the deadline approaches, he gets more panicked/frantic, and really gets down to business. Glarence is very organized—he lists out to-dos and gets things done in an organized way, far before the deadline approaches. Uri is very sluggish when it comes to getting things done. He’ll do things little piece by little piece, all the way up until the deadline. Zenobos is very anxious about these sorts of things, and is an unorganized mess at first, but soon manages to calm down and sort out what he needs to finish. Adiel is pretty organized, like Glarence, but also overprepares, like Carla.

Carla (the main character) believes she is too anxious to make friends. Kalcal believes he’s an oddball who will never fit in. Glarence believes he will always be angry. Uri believes he’s not worth saving. Zenobos believes he’s incapable of fighting. Adiel believes he has to always take care of everyone, regardless of the cost to himself.

Kalcal recently discarded a Hound carcass. Glarence recently discarded an old gift that [REDACTED] gave him. Uri recently discarded a sleeping bag that got torn to shreds during the group’s encounter with a Clump. Zenobos recently discarded some spoiled mushrooms (he was planning to use them for a recipe). Adiel recently discarded some shots from his polaroid that came out blurry.
