A mackerel cat sticks his nose in front of the camera to get a closer look at that infernal clicky box. The wide-angle lens distorts the view of the surrounding room, giving a funhouse feel.

A close-up black-and-white portrait of a white boxer dog captured from a low angle, creating a sense of intimacy and monumentality. The dog’s expressive face dominates the frame—its dark eyes gazing upward with a look of gentle curiosity or quiet watchfulness. Wrinkles and folds along the muzzle and neck accentuate the boxer’s characteristic charm, while the short fur catches soft natural light, revealing textures that seem almost tactile. In the blurred background, several framed pictures hang slightly askew on a wall, hinting at a cozy domestic interior. The sharp lines of one frame intersect the upper right corner of the image, adding a subtle geometric contrast to the organic form of the dog. The foreground is softly out of focus, possibly part of a patterned blanket or couch, reinforcing the indoor setting and the dog's relaxed presence. The high contrast and monochrome tonality lend the image a timeless, contemplative mood, emphasizing the dog's soulful demeanor and elevating the everyday moment into something quietly poetic. This portrait doesn't just depict a pet—it conveys personality, loyalty, and the deeply rooted companionship between humans and animals.
Week #23 of 52Frames: Use The Wrong Lens!
In my book, there's no such thing as a "wrong lens". Rules are to be bent or broken. Here I'm with my 10mm (eq. 15mm in full frame).

Wide angle shot of a little roly-poly walking across a rock
My 52 Frames Photo Challenge “Use the Wrong Lens” submission this week features a wide angle photo of a little roly-poly trekking across a rock in our flowerbed. I hope this perspective tells an interesting story about its environment and long journey. #52frames_usethewronglens #photography

The 20mm let me stand close to see all the #RoseTrellis but also get details on the #roses, hat, nestbox
52 Weeks assignment - use the 'wrong lens' No one said that the lens had to be a camera lens. Took 2 magnifying glasses one above the other. #52frames_usethewronglens

Query successful A white SUV drives on a highway with a U-turn sign on the right and a green sign indicating "EXIT 153 Interquest Parkway" on the left. Beyond the highway, a vast expanse of green trees covers rolling hills. In the mid-ground, a residential area is visible amongst the trees, and further back, patches of reddish-brown earth are exposed on the hillsides. Towering over everything in the background is Pikes Peak, its summit still capped with snow under a clear sky.
Week 23/52: This week's prompt from the 52Frames weekly photo challenge: Use The Wrong Lens.
Brought out my 150-500 telephoto lens for some landscape shots which really helped compress the perceived distance between the foreground and the mountain summit.
