Gonna go with two things:

Good pizza choices (Johnny’s, Utility, Rotolo’s)

Episcopal Church of the Redeemer (I’ve been singing with their choir and getting in touch with my inner liturgist; this is so different than my Church of Christ background, but it prepares me for #9LC every year)

Soooo many of you were posting about listening to #9LC or whatever the tag was, and I kept thinking, "hey you can listen to that kind of thing in person, too" 🤷

Now wondering if there's any way to hear the #9LC after the fact? Any advice welcome.

Just got round to listening to King's carols #9LC. Rutter Nativity carol and Berlioz Shepherds' Farewell both have me in bits every time, and they programmed them BACK TO BACK! Pass the Kleenex...

When I was a professional church musician, #9LC was the moment of calm before the (3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 10pm, 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:00pm) storm.

Now it’s the calm before the relaxing holiday when I rejoice at not being a professional church musician any more. 😆❤️

I'm largely ignorant when it comes to the pipe organ, so I'm hoping someone can help.

In the wordless descant of the Portman, there's what in electronic music I'd describe as "resonant noise." It sounds too intentional to be an accident so I assume the organist is playing with the soloist? #9lc

For me, it’s sipping a cuppa whilst embroidering and knitting on the morning of Christmas Eve. And checking if I have two bayberry candles at the ready. One for Christmas Eve, and one for New Year’s Eve. Oh, and poking around the shelf to find a old metrical psalter for the candlelighting. #9lc
