The #AACRSSP is close to my heart. For the past 10+ yrs, I have had the privilege of working with amazing patient survivor-thriver/advocates and learned so much from them. I’m about to report to duty for #AACRSSP #AACR25 Edition. When @theaacr.bsky.social calls, I’m in www.aacr.org/patients-car...

What says leaving Vancouver more than a #redtoque, a @TheWRP4LC and a Thunderbird.

It seems a little unreal to be on my way to #AACR25 with #AACRSSP.

But here I am.

Another possibility for NK cells: model of HIF1a knockout mice can use IL-18 to turn a cold tumor hot. Human cancers with high NK/IL-18/INFgamma signals have better prognosis. Can we use a HIF1a inhibitor to drive this in people like in mice?? #AACR21 #AACRSSP

what I learned at #AACR21 as part of #AACRSSP (where you have to watch things you normally wouldn't): teaching NK cells to remember how to kill those damn cancer cells. Would love to know if this is a possibility in #breastcancer #bcsm

The opportunity to interact with movers and shakers is a key component of #AACRSSP. While we couldn’t be in the same room this year (damn Covid) it doesn’t diminish the conversation. @realrickpazdur @FDAOncology @pkluetz @rea_blakey @harpreet_md

#AACRSSP special session with Dr Patricia LoRusso: patents go on #clinicaltrials because they want to live. #truth Also, IMHO, if you involve us early on in the design of trials, the trials will be better, accrual will be faster.

more from Dr Carpten #AACRSSP- mutations in tumor suppressor genes "cut the brakes" allowing cells to grow out of control (AKA cancer). Oncogenes can be turned on, pressing on the accelerator and, again, leading to uncontrolled growth and cancer.

Watched @Nikhilwagle's #AACR21 presentation on resistance in ER+ MBC. Great info on mechanisms and potential trials/options, but I watched at 2x speed so the brilliant Dr Nik sounded like Dr Mick(ey Mouse)! #AACRSSP #bcsm #metastaticbreastcancer

Another interesting talk from yesterday #AACR21 was on alpha emitter thorium coupled to an Ab that binds to HER2. Most of the slides were "do not post" but there is a clinical trial. clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04147819
