#AB1967 passed the Assembly Human Services Committee today.

This bill strengthens protections for youth in foster care—including those experiencing homelessness, neglect or abuse—so they can get the help they need.

We have a responsibility to make sure the system works for them, not against them.

When kids ask for help, the system must act.

My bill #AB1967 requires a timely response when youth in foster care—who are disproportionately LGBTQ+, Black and Native American—seek protection & ensures access to extended foster care.
