Happy Birthday to Tim Curry, who has brought me many, many hours of Joy, (and also Fear because his Pennywise is absolutely terrifying, and was especially so, as a kid.)
The world is lucky to have him and his amazing talent in it 🖤
if Tim Curry had only blessed us with this speech it would have been enough, but he has given us so much more

Tim Curry IS VERY MUCH ALIVE.
It is his birthday so he is trending because people are gushing about how great he is, which is deserved.

Wonderful Tim Curry is 80 today! RHPS was one of my faves growing up, he made a BIG impression. This is a caricature I did back in 2012 of him as Frank
At my first job at a cheese store when I was 16 Tim Curry walked in.
I legit didn’t know how I knew him, maybe a friend of the family? So I went “Do I know you from somewhere?”
and in the most Tim Curry way he put me in my place
“You know me from many things.” He didn’t say another word to me lol
Nintendo #FunFact: In Home Alone 2 - Lost in New York for the SNES, we actually trapped a small piece of Tim Curry's soul in every cartridge to make it as accurate as possible. Unfortunately during development we found out the soul degraded over time so he looks like a melting Tim Curry wax figure.

i feel very lucky that my favorite tim curry work is his audiobook work for garth nix's "the old kingdom". he does the initial 3 books. the reason i feel lucky is that movies are pretty short and the audiobooks are just him performing for 35 hours straight
The Tim Curry quote that always immediately comes to my mind is "YOU THINK I HAVE SOME KIND OF CLOCK IN MY HEAD!" from Freakazoid.
Also… Tim Curry as Rooster, brother of Miss Hannigan (Carol Burnett) and boyfriend of Lily (Bernadette Peters) in the 1982 movie “Annie.” He was so good in that role! 🎞️

happy birthday, tim curry. you taught me it was ok to be weird. like, really weird
One thing I respect about Tim Curry beyond his ability to take these huge roles with over the top personalities like Frank-n-Furter, Darkness, and Pennywise and make them his own is that, in real life, I know almost nothing about him. He did his job, went home, and that was it.

Holy crap, when I saw Tim Curry was trending ...
