If you visit Hiroshima, take a moment to look at the rubble scattered around the A-Bomb Dome. While parts of the dome itself have been reinforced, the surrounding rubble remains exactly as it fell when the bomb detonated 1,900 feet above the city on August 6 1945.

Part of the A-Bomb Dome (Genbaku Dome), the only structure left standing after the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on the 6th of August 1945. Easily one of the most impressive war memorials I have visited.

Perhaps the most iconic anti-nuclear symbol of our times, the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall was built in 1915 and was immortalized on August 6th 1945.
