it’s not multitasking
if the garden dies,
the code crashes,
and the poem never gets written—
just scratched in the margins
of a half-read email
sent to the wrong person.
it’s motion
without meaning.

An excerpt from a poem, titled Artemicion. I was supposed to be in charge of the sorting machines at Headquarters, supposed to keep the mail delivery service running on time. On the day my father would have turned 73 I used too much Superslick, used it all up, and the machines broke down and stopped working from not enough oil, I guess, adhdpoetry.substack.com
