I’ve watched part of #TheTaleOfRose and really enjoyed her refreshingly authentic and self-centred approach to life. (Side note: I was amazed when I realised it’s the same FL actress as in #ADreamOfSplendour. I truly didn’t recognise her. Excellent acting and role physicality!)
He’s quite a prominent side character in #ADreamOfSplendour.
I like the FL. But it irks me when I am remindednof her annoying character in #ADreamOfSplendour
I can totally see how you could multiple rewatches of #ADreamOfSplendour & #TheSwordAndBrocade 🙂 They are both 👌
I liked #RomanceisaBonusBook when I saw it, but it was so long ago in my drama memory that I’ve forgotten everything about it except the leads! (who I can see clearly in my mind’s eye)
Comfort shows for me are usually well-acted, slow-burn, emotional hurt/comfort type romances. BLs are shorter so good for a single afternoon in bed/on the sofa. (e.g. #ToMyStar) A couple of C-dramas I’m rewatching are #ADreamOfSplendour and #TheSwordAndBrocade. Just knowing what’s coming is helpful.
Another historical C-drama for this list is #ADreamOfSplendour. Not only does the FL run first a tea shop and then a restaurant but the 2FL is a very skilled (particularly with the knife!) cook.
What do you think about historical C-dramas where the FL is - or was - a courtesan skilled in dancing? #ADreamOfSplendour springs to mind, for example.
