2024-12-25: #AHY8243 post-crash images show traces of shrapnel in the rear fuselage and tailfin area. This indicates the E-190 may have come under fire from a ground-to-air missile or other military origin, resulting in the leakage of all hydraulic systems. Still this is unconfirmed yet.
2024-12-25 UPDATE:
According to Kazakh Ministry of Emergency Situations, it is now assumed there were 69 people on board flight #AHY8243. 64 passengers and 5 crewmembers. None of the crewmembers survived. At least 20 passengers have survived, some are in serious condition.

UPDATE: On board flight #AHY8243 were 62 passengers + 5 crewmembers according to news sources. During impact the cockpit was torn off, a fire broke out and the fuselage broke into multiple sections. A total of 28 people are known to have survived. Ongoing story..
