#AMERSA2022 was so wonderful.
Also I am so exhausted.
Public transit is good & important but not gonna lie : my weekend-traffic, weekend-parking-rates, 15 minute door to door commute to the last day of #AMERSA2022 was pretty nice 🙂
first up: learning about value of opt-out tobacco cessation treatment !
(Paraphrased) “We need to BEGIN by decriminalizing health care. Drug tests and ‘informed consent’ are tools, not solutions. Both are embedded in structures of oppression. We must recognize & resist false dichotomies.” -Dr. Mishka Terplan #AMERSA2022
Can @AMERSA_tweets please adopt snapping or Occupy-style finger wiggling? Current session of about family regulation system is 🔥 and I don’t feel like vigorous nodding is enough —- #AMERSA2022
“…the failure is the idea that we can play God.”
I cannot stop aggressively nodding along with @Kassandra_Fred during today’s Spicy Debate on mandated treatment at @AMERSA_tweets. INCREDIBLE content.
Thank you Kassandra. #AMERSA2022
“It’s not coercion vs. nothing, it’s coercion vs EVERYTHING ELSE… when the relationship starts with coercion, it will always be a barrier to care.” - @Kassandra_Fred in the #AMERSA2022 #spicydebate about involuntary treatment
@CurbsidersSUDs team in our new t-shirts 🙂 (minus our fearless, amazing leader @CarolynAChan who isn’t here at #AMERSA2022). Grateful for this amazing group of people!
My heart is so full after a day at #AMERSA2022, catching up with my fellow @LFMResidency alumni and the @YaleADM crew, and meeting SO MANY people I have interacted with and learned from on #addictionmedtwitter over the past three years…
Musings as I head home from #AMERSA2022: it will never stop being weird to me that there is a T station entrance built directly into the Old Massachusetts State House. It doesn’t like, affect preservation or the foundation or anything? 😂🤷🏻♀️
Well I didn’t finish work until 10:30pm and may have strained my back and my bus is tardy, so will be there a few minutes late and weary-eyed, but en route to #AMERSA2022 ! 🙂
I'm still at work waiting to see my last mobile health unit patient and I'm gonna be TIRED tomorrow but gosh I am I excited for my first in-person @AMERSA_tweets conference! #AMERSA2022
