I won the Hamilton lottery three times (twice in one day) so our whole family got to take turns experiencing the amazing #andpeggy tour! 2. Steve and I went to Arkansas without kids to celebrate @nicole.courson and @jacourson93’s wedding! It ended up being a lovely marriage retreat for us as we hung out at the brand new @trubyhilton. 3. Another youth ministry era ended as my group of senior girls graduated! Love these #lumosvilla1920 girls so much that I’m continuing to check in and pray for them weekly! 4. We were happy for @darnannadarnell to get into vet school but sad to see her move down south. We got to host Scot several nights this fall but eventually had to say goodbye to him, too. They will remain “awesome people” to us (Matthew’s nickname for them) and we will always remember that Scot is the measuring rod for Matthew’s mental image of a suitable wife (if he were a girl) 5. My college dorm-mate Matt Chan sadly passed away from cancer. We were in Arkansas and missed his memorial service but I was thankful for the dorm reunion he helped to organize last year. 6. We had #milliechickenpaw for two months but eventually had to let her go, which was pretty sad for our boys. Another sad loss was #nutmegthecat, who passed away in October. 7. Our family went to Ensenada to build a house with @yugoministries. 8. We hosted our friends Brian and Lucy when they had to evacuate the Kincade Fire so at one point had twelve people in our tiny house! It was wonderful to catch up with them and as a bonus, we spent time with the Gibsons as well! 9. We had @shira_suna in our home for a month! He fit right in with our family despite the short time we had with him. 10. Our housemate for the last half of the year was @andrewcalderwood, a fellow youth leader and first-year grad student.
