Today's visit to the Museo del Premio Nacional de la Cerámica Pantaleón Panduro in Tlaquepaque area of Guadalajara: fabulous #ceramicart- traditional to contemporary, sculptural to functional, tiny details to massive statement works… seriously impressive (& FREE! )

We don't post or respond to political posts, but we'll share this for #TagTuesday, since we missed #muralmonday.
Found in a decidedly non-touristy neighborhood of #Queretaro.
Definitely topical and interesting to see world events recorded so.

While we're in #Queretaro, here's a (kind of) #RockinTuesday post.
Behold the Acueducto de Querétaro (built from local rocks), famous for its 74 towering arches and 1,280-meter length. Built between 1726 - 1738 to bring water from La Cañada springs to the city.

Check out this life-size rhino #sculpture. Color isn't great ...he was darker, with gold... but all that patterning is thousands of individually-laid glass beads!
Part of "EL MURMULLO DE
la Naturaleza" exhibit by CÉSAR MENCHACA, at the Querétaro Museum of Art. On now.

Soft inflatable #sculpture in a plaza in Querétaro, Mexico.
They apparently glow at night, but we haven't been out that late... yet.
Just two of several from Australian artist #AmandaParer 's “HUMANOIDS" exhibition.

#Teotichuacan is simply a *massive* site!
The main ceremonial route Avenue of the Dead is at least 2km (some say up to 5km) long; most folks only see a fraction of the whole ste. We spent 8 hours and still missed some spots.

Just some of the #streetart and #mural works we saw in #Cholula Mexico last week.
Ridiculously great mural to wall ratio there!
H/T to #WorldArtsDestinations for their sponsorship of many of these artists!

Read that #craftcations - vacations built around learning / making craft objects is a growing niche.
We suggest #Oaxaca Mexico, as an ideal choice.
Here's our 4-hour #grabado class, which is a BIG deal here.

Today's sad #aDOORableThursday, #dailydoor:
This from the historic centro of #Oaxaca, where the Women's March on #IWD2026 exceeded petty vandalism ... the marchers torched the protective plywood barrier which caught, and burned this historic #door. #nocontextdoors
