Most vision scientists would bet that single-cone receptive fields exist in primate fovea, but it was not proven until now.
It took years of sweat and $ to combine #AOSLO and electrophysiology. Congrats to PhD student Keaton Ramsey and his mentor Lawrence Sincich.

Another earthquake shakes Bay Area with epicenter near UC Berkeley The quake with an epicenter in Berkeley struck at about 2:55 a.m.

Seems that a small earthquake knocked our #AOSLO #AOOCT system out of alignment. It may be time to engage to the air suspension.... One of the perils of doing research at #ucberkeley.

Seems that 4 monitors is not enough... Jason and Shangbang are choosing which cone on my retina to perform #AOOCT and #AOSLO #optoretinography measurements.

How 😎 is this? My lab members bought me a puzzle for my birthday...and it's an #adaptiveoptics #AOSLO image of my retina! We all worked on it today, but I got to work on the foveolar cones.
