High-intensity aerobic cycling can slow Parkinson's disease (PD) progression. Dr. Cielita Lopez-Lennon shared the results of the CYCLE 2 Trial! PD symptom progression in the treatment group was significantly less over 12 mos. Cadence, power, & time are key factors in exercise prescription. #ASNR2026

In their studies, tele-IC was safe, feasible, and scalable with guided remote delivery, but additional research needs to be done to further understand and optimize this intervention. #ASNR2026

Motor recovery requires a lot of high-intensity therapy, but this often isn't practical in our current medical system. Dr. Sangeetha Madhavan and her colleagues aim to adapt ischemic conditioning interventions to be delivered to patients in their homes (tele-ischemic conditioning). #ASNR2026
