The Diamonds run out comfortable winners on a day where we saw 3 debutantes for Australia and 1 for South Africa. Jamie-Lee Price and Alice Teague-Neeld were outstanding today. Once again, there were promising signs for SA but just too many errors.

Austin 8/10 (80%)
Koenen 2/4 (50%)

Streutker 10/14 (71%)
Ngubane 3/4 (75%)

That is the first quarter that South Africa has won in this series. They were much tidier in attack. Not so Cara Koenen for the Diamonds, unfortunately with 3 turnovers.

Teams are in for the final test of the series in Adelaide. Some potential debuts in this game, and for Australia, a very new-looking starting lineup.

Will the Diamonds wrap up a 3-0 series victory, or can the Proteas record their first-ever win over Australia?

The third #AUSvRSA test in Adelaide will be a full circle moment for Michelle den Dekker. 30 years after Australia’s most successful netball captain led her side to the 1995 World Cup victory, celebrating that success in her hometown feels pretty special.

Apologies. There was an error in the South African shooting stats we posted last night. So here is the correct version...

💎 Dominant Diamonds! Australia had a 67–40 win over the South African Proteas in Wollongong, to seal the series victory with one game to spare. This was South Africa's lowest score vs Australia since 2018.

A comprehensive win for Australia on a night when just nothing went right for South Africa. For the Diamonds, Jo Weston was POTM with 4 gains and 4 pickups, while Georgie Horjus impressed in the second half. Horjus and Garbin shot 35/35!

Garbin 13/13 (100%)
Horjus 5/5 (100%)

Streutker 7/8 (88%)
Ngubane 1/1 (100%)

Several changes made at 1/2 time. The combination of Georgie Horjus and Sophie Garbin provided a spark for Australia as they dominated the quarter. SA with 28 turnovers!

1/2 time: AUS 32-22

A bit of a frustrating game to watch. There's no flow as both sides continue to make errors. The Diamonds won the second quarter 14-11 to extend their lead, but they still probably wouldn't be overly pleased with their performance.

1/4 time: AUS 18-11

Koenen 9/12 (75%)
Austin 9/12 (75%)

van der Berg 10/11 (91%)
Breedt 1/3 (33%)

Diamonds on top after a rather frantic opening quarter with lots of errors. Shooting accuracy a problem for Australia, while South Africa has given up 10 turnovers!

SA within touching distance of a single figure loss to Aussies. Maybe it can get closer in the next two tests. Nicola Smith had an awesome first half on Garbin, think SA had tired legs by the end and couldn't keep up their intensity. Good to see Watson get a rest for once 😅 #Netball #AUSvRSA

Stats from tonight's first test in Bendigo which saw the Diamonds take a 1-0 lead in the series. The first, third, and fourth quarters were all very competitive, but the damage was done in a 20-12 second quarter.

Australia comes away with an comfortable 11-goal win, with POTM Courtney Bruce having 8 gains. But there was plenty to like about South Africa's performance. This was the closest margin between the two teams since the 2019 World Cup semi final.

Courtney Bruce has starred in defence for Australia with 7 gains already. The biggest roar was reserved for Alice Teague-Neeld who came on late in the 2nd quarter to make her international debut. A few too many errors creeping into SA's game in that 2nd Q.

Austin 12/14 (86%)

A great first quarter (14-14) for South Africa as they took it right up to Australia. But the Diamonds started to assert some authority in the second quarter (20-12)

Congrats to Proteas captain Khanyisa Chawane, who played her 100th test last Sunday. Chawane, Shadine van der Merwe (73), and Elmere van der Berg (46) make up exactly half of the squad's total of 438 caps.
