Scratch that: the combined distance to the horizon between us at ~100m
ASL and the lighthouse (39m ASL) is only 58km. We must have been seeing the Nebo Mast, one of the tallest structure in all #Wales at 317m and easily visible from #Aberaeron!

The sky below the cloud was so clear the horizon was sharp as a knife, and when darkness fell, we could see the Goleudy Ynys Enlli lighthouse on #Bardsey island at the tip of the #Lleyn peninsula 75km away!
