They are less than a week old and I would like to offer them up for the ugliest baby bird competition.Theres nothing wrong with their round, fluffy black bodies but when it comes to their heads they're bald from the big eyes up with a reddish patch at the top and red at the base of their beaks with a small sharp yellow pointy bit forward of the red. And those black, thick (relatively) legs.... and feet.... what do they think they're going to grow into? Ostriches?

Both parents were shepherding a total of seven goslings down at the wildlife refuge back in April. They were totally attentive and on the lookout for any signs of trouble for their brood. Fluffy little goosebumps in yellow and brown.
