made a little Zoomni sketch before my day of college..

A comic entitled "Assumptions" which depics two characters from The Amazing Digital Circus; Pomni and Zooble. They are standing inside the circus and have a back and forth interaction. Pomni: "Hey, Zooble! Do you have a moment?" Zooble: "...Sure?" Pomni:"I-I just wanted to...ask you something, if that was okay. I didn't want to ask in front of the others because it's kind of a sensitive topic" Zooble pauses for a brief second and sighs, an expression of irritation on their face. Zooble: "Neither." Pomni: "Huh?" Zooble: "I'm neither." Zoobles expression becomes sad. Zooble: "I don't remember what I was before the circus so I just don't...'identify' or whatever, as anything. "he"... "she"... "they"... Any of those could be right and I'd have no idea... They look back at Pomni with an angry expression. "and don't bother telling me how "sorry" you are for me or how "well" I'm coping. I really don't need to hear it"

The comic continues. Pomni has a stunned and meek expression as Zooble turns away from her. With a sad defeated look in her eyes, Pomni turns away. Pomni: "I-I just wanted to ask if you'd like to hang out, is all. You always looked lonely a-and I just thought... ...I just thought you could use a friend." Zooble has a look of realisation and regret. They look down at the floor. Zooble: "Pomni, Wait..." The scene changes to a wide shot showing Zooble and Pomni sat in a Ferris wheel gondola, with a view of the circus and mountains in the distance. A small panel appears in the upper left which states: "Later, at the Digital Carnival." Zooble puts on an expression of uncertainty, as Pomni sits next to them, shyly waiting for them to say what they think. Zooble: "This is..." Zooble:"...Actually pretty nice."
