A black box contains white text reading: Yesterday the Israeli Occupation Forces assassinated two unarmed Palestinian men in Jenin. The men were shot at point-blank range while on their knees, arms raised, having lifted their shirts to show they were unarmed. The two men were identified by Palestinian authorities to be Al-Muntasir Abdullah, 26, and Yousef Asasa, 37. We are appalled by these assassinations. The systematic dehumanisation of Palestinian lives by the Israeli regime is fundamental to Israel’s apartheid control of the West Bank, which continues unchecked by Western governments, despite the International Court of Justice’s ruling on the illegality of the occupation.
